What Lagos Life is
Lagos Life is a browser game by Nigerian developer Ijeoma Shalom Rayhamen, launched on 1 October 2026. You create a character, get handed either a Nepo start or a LAPO start with a loan to repay, and then live: work shifts, keep your needs up, buy food, pay rent, meet people and try to move up. The city day follows the real day, and everyone you walk past is another player.

Your first week, in four steps
The whole loop, with screenshots from a real save — nothing here is a mock-up.

Make a character
The look is yours to play with. The two things that move the numbers are the birth lottery — Nepo Baby or LAPO Baby, once per account — and the two traits you keep out of ten.

Work one shift to the end
Open the phone, tap Jobs and pick a career you can enter. Pay settles when the shift ends, so stay for all of it — the panel afterwards tells you what the day earned.

A finished shift: ₦11,600 and 95% performance.Open full-size image ↗ - 03
Eat, wash, sleep
Six needs sit in the bottom left corner. Two of them under 20 starts building neglect, and neglect is what makes you ill. Energy at zero means you pass out; a bad one ends at General Hospital with a ₦15,000 bill.

Food is cheap early on — the Buka counter at Amala Shitta.Open full-size image ↗ - 04
Pay the rent on Saturday
Rent leaves your account every Saturday, and the home you pick decides how much cash you start with. A cheap room and a longer walk beat a nice flat you cannot keep.
